Our Team

Nam Vu, Co-Director, Co-founder

Nam has been in technology for 38 years starting with his first computer: a Commodore VIC-20 with an audio cassette data drive. Nam is the founder of ShakaNet, a guest Internet service provider for most of the major airports and many hotels in Hawaii. While traveling the world with his family for 15 months, he utilized many coworking spaces and recognized the need for such spaces, with amazing Internet, in Hawaii. He returned looking for a coworking space to get involved with and became the Hub’s first angel investor. An entrepreneur at heart, Nam is passionate about helping other impact makers succeed. Nam is also a real estate investor.

Meeta Vu, Co-Director, Co-founder

Meeta has been an entrepreneur for 20+ years. Out of the box thinking is her super power for her contribution to the various businesses she has helped build. From sales, space design and community relationships – she is a creative and sees light and opportunity in likely and unlikely places. For fun, she imagines that she is more athletic than she really is.  Mediocre runner and swimmer and dreams of becoming a surfer.  3′ is her Eddie Aikau.  Also aspires to be a cool mom to her son.

Joshua Rivera, Community Director

Joshua Rivera was born on O‘ahu and grew up in Bradenton, FL. He was previously a Community Coordinator for Yelp Hawai‘i, planning community events and managing their marketing initiatives. Prior to Yelp and freelancing, Joshua served 4 years in the U.S. Army at Schofield Barracks as an Armor Officer (Cavalry and Reconnaissance) and Signal Officer (Communications). He graduated from the University of South Florida with a focus in Marketing.

Anette Arinix, Community Coordinator

Born and raised in Hawai‘i, Anette is over the moon to work with the Hub Coworking Hawai‘i.  You might recognize her from eating cookies on the Diamond Bakery commercials.  She also continues to produce comedy shows through ImprovHI, TinystageHi and Polynesian AF.  Her life mission is to continue to create space for marginalized communities through art.
