Join us 8/18 from 12-3pm for a free community art project. RSVP for free here.
Trash into Treasure is a collaboration between Pena People and Impact Hub HNL to create public art from marine debris found on the Trash To Treasure Beach Clean-up on August 11th from 8-11am at 2 convenient locations in Kailua and Diamond Head.
Join Pena People’s 1st art public art event featuring live music by Kelandy, pupus provided by GRYLT, local vendors and an art creation station where the public is invited to help us create art using marine debris!
Pena People’s mission is to make art more accessible to the public. Anyone can not only make art but also do some good for the environment at the same time. Raising money through selling our original t-shirts, we are able to fund this event and create recycled public art installations using marine debris from beach clean ups.
The artwork will be in permanent display at the Impact Hub Honolulu after the event.
We will have 9 vendors including:
- Atmo Systems
- Innovation Planner
- Pono Home Essentials
- Playground Art Crew
- Educ8
- Hawaii Wave Images
- Local Artist Eri Irwin
- Pena People
- SAAC
You are welcome to bring your own CLEAN trash to add to our art installation. Please wash is with dishsoap and dry in advance of the project. All ages are welcome, join us in beautifying our aina!
